Case 2: Developing a "People Pipeline"
Client Situation:
A Fortune 500 multi-national organization initiated a mentoring program targeting
a diverse employee population. Management wanted guidance for maximizing the
experience for mentors and mentees and providing positive short- and long-term
impact on their organizational "bench strength."
Solution:
Cooke Consulting Group designed and facilitated workshops with mentees to help them
make the most of the mentoring opportunity and use the experience to grow professionally.
We also partnered with management to periodically assess progress over the length of the
program and analyzed feedback to enhance the program for subsequent rollout.
Results:
Participants (including senior management) recommended the program
be continued and expanded. We have adjusted the program to further
enhance learning, increase participants' individual development
results, and tie this program more closely to their succession
planning process. In short, they are maximizing the potential
of the individuals who are and will be the future of their organization!
